KHULNA, Aug 05, 2019 (BSS) – A woman dengue patient dies today morning at a private hospital in the city.
The deceased was identified as Khadiza Begum, 40, wife of Dulu Molla, hailed from village Uttar Tafal Bari under Shoronkhola upazila in Bagerhat.
Khulna Civil Surgeon ASM Abdur Razzak confirmed the death saying Khadiza was admitted at Khulna City Medical College Hospital (KCMCH) on August 3 night.
She was suffering from dengue fever since a week and her blood platelets count was constantly declining, he said. A total of three dengue patients died in last two days in Khulna.
At least 192 patients were diagnosed with dengue. Out of them 83 patients are now undergoing treatment in hospitals and 109 patients returned home after taking treatment.
