6 snatchers held in Ctg
CHATTOGRAM, Aug 4, 2019 (BSS)- Members of Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) in separate drives arrested a band of six members of adolescent snatchers from different areas in the city’s Khulshi and Biyazid thana early today.
Pronob Chowdhury, Officer-in-Charge of Khulshi thana said having information that the snatchers snatched valuables from the student of Bangladesh Korea Technical training centre, a team of Khulshi thana police in separate drives arrested them from Polytechnic area.
The arrested were identified as Yasin Mollah,20, Abdur Rahim,18, Amirul Islam,18, Mohammad Ripon.18, Jibon Hossain,18, and Sagor Hossain,18.
The arrested snatchers confessed that they had been mugging the visitors specially female targeting their smart phones purses, cash and valuables at the said area for long, Pronob added.
A case was filed with Khulshi thana in this regard.
