Chattogram police to use drone to monitor cattle markets

CHATTOGRAM, Aug 3, 2019 (BSS) – Commissioner of Chattogram Police (CMP)
Mohammad Mahbubur Rahman today said that the cattle markets in the port city
will be monitored using drones for the first time.

The CMP Commissioner disclosed this at the meeting of ‘Traffic management
and security in the cattle markets’ at Dampara police line conference hall
this afternoon.

He said multiple security arrangements have been made for city cattle
markets. The latest addition to it is the use of drones. Besides, fake note
detection device will be available in every cattle market to detect the
counterfeit notes.

“No-one should try to extort cattle traders in the name of any association
or organisation,” he warned

He said animal laden trucks will be allowed to enter cattle markets after
checking. To avoid any unwanted incidents in the cattle market, Drone camera
will be used to monitor the market environment, he added.

The CMP boss also directed the law enforcers to keep watch on the snatchers
and gang members, who were recently released from jail custody on bail.

Additional Commissioner, Deputy Commissioners and other high officials of
CMP were present during the meeting.
