DHAKA, Aug 3, 2019 (BSS)- A total of 1,12,606 hajj pilgrims went to Saudi Arabia till mid-night of August 2 to perform the holy Hajj this year.
According to the bulletin of Dhaka Hajj office issued here today, 165 hajj flights of Biman Bangladesh Airlines and 156 flights of Saudi Airlines landed at the King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah safely carrying the pilgrims.
Among the total hajj pilgrims, 1,05,690 hajjis went to Saudi Arabia under private management while 6,916 under government arrangement.
A total of 29 Bangladeshi hajj pilgrims, including three women, have died of various reasons in Saudi Arabia as of Saturday (August 3).
Of them, 24 hajj pilgrims died in Makkah, 4 in Medina and one in Jeddah.
