Projects taken to reconstruct, repair flood protection embankments
FENI, Aug 3, 2019 (BSS) – Deputy Minister for Water Resources Enamul Haque
Shamim today said projects of Taka 814 crore have been taken to reconstruct
and repair flood protection embankments in the district.
“We have taken two projects of Taka 814 crore for maintenance of flood
protection embankment on Kuhuya River and reconstructing dam on Muhuri
River,” he told a relief distribution function here.
Earlier, Presidium Member of Awami League (AL) Begum Matia Chowdhury and
Deputy Minister for Water Resources Enamul Haque Shamim visited the flood-
affected areas in Feni district.
Local Lawmaker Shirin Aktar, leaders of Feni district unit of AL and
officials, among others, were present on the occasion.
