Youth confesses killing one at wedding ceremony
DHAKA, August 2, 2019 (BSS) – A youth arrested over killing one and injuring another by stabbing in a marriage ceremony in capital’s Mogbazar area on August 1, has given confessional statement in the court.
Police produced Sajib Ahmed Roky before Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Abu Sufian Md Noman and pleaded to record his confessional statement.
Allowing the plea of the investigation officer, the court recorded Roky’s statement under section 164 and sent him to jail afterwards.
Roky and his men appeared in a marriage ceremony, which was taking place in Priyanka Shooting House in Dilu Road area at Mogbazar yesterday and caused ruckus. Terming the wedding girl as his lover, he wanted to stop the marriage. At one stage he stabbed the father and the mother of the girl.
Both the victims were taken to a nearby hospital, where girl’s Tula Miah, 45, succumbed to his injuries.
