MYMENSINGH. July 29, 2019 (BSS) – Mymensingh district administration has taken preparation to observe the 44th death anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Mourning Day in a befitting manner.
A preparatory meeting in this regard was held at the conference room of Deputy Commissioner here today with Deputy Commissioner Md. Mizanur Rahman in the chair.
The day’s programs include placing wreath at the portrait of Bangabandhu, hoisting of national flags half mast, discussion on the life and works of Bangabandhu, mourning procession, doa and milad mahfil, essay writing, debate and painting competition for students.
Besides, Bangabandhu’s historic speeches will be played in the city and different points allover the district.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Belayet Hossain and local Awami League leaders were present.
The meeting sources said painting and essay competition will be held from from August 1 to 15 in different educational institutions in phases.
The deputy commissioner sought necessary cooperation from all government and non government organisations and heads of all educational institutions to make the program successful.
Government officials, heads of law enforcing agencies, educational institutions, professional leaders and representatives of different socio cultural organisations attended the meeting.
