DHAKA, July 28, 2019 (BSS) – Bangladesh meteorological department (BMD)
forecasts light to moderate rain over the country in the next 24 hours as of
9am tomorrow.
Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty
wind is likely to occur at most places over Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram
divisions and at a few places over Dhaka and Rajshahi divisions, a met office
release here today said.
Rain also may occur at many places over Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet
divisions with moderately heavy to very heavy falls at some places, it said.
A low pressure has formed over Gangetic Bengal and adjoining Northwest
Bay, the release added.
The axis of monsoon trough runs through Rajsthan, Horiyana, Uttar Pradesh,
Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, the centre of the low and thence northeastwards to
Assam across central part of Bangladesh. Monsoon is active over Bangladesh
and strong over the North Bay.
Day and night temperature may remain unchanged over the country.
Today’s sunset in Dhaka would be at 6.44 pm and tomorrow’s sunrise here at
5.26 am.
