Rangpur Swechchasebak League celebrates founding anniversary

RANGPUR, July 28, 2019 (BSS) – Bangladesh Awami Swechchasebak League (ASSL)
district and city units celebrated its 25th founding anniversary on Saturday
through daylong programs.

The programs included hoisting of the national and party flags on party
office premises, cutting cake, placing wreaths at the portrait of Father of
the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on Bangabandhu Mural premises
and discussion.

Leaders of the district and city units of ASSL, Awami League (AL) and its
associate bodies participated in the programs.

President of ASSL district unit Sirajul Islam Pramanik presided over the
post-rally discussion held at its office in Betpotti area of the city.

Central leader of AL Chowdhury Khalequzzaman, Acting President of its
district unit Mamtaz Uddin Ahmed and General Secretary Advocate Rezaul Karim
Raju, President of city AL Shafiur Rahman Shafi, its General Secretary Tushar
Kanti Mandal, addressed as invited guests.

General Secretary of district ASSL Dhanojeet Ghosh Taposh, President of its
city unit Ataur Zaman Babu and General Secretary Ramjan Ali Tuhin and
President of district Chhatra League Mehedee Hasan Rony spoke.

The speakers said the defeated forces of 1971, killers of 1975, August 21
grenade attackers and BNP-Jamaat clique were hatching conspiracies and
spreading rumours to destabilise the country and hinder faster advancement of
the nation.

They vowed to build the developed ‘Sonar Bangla’ as dreamt by Father of the
Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman under the leadership of Prime
Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Sirajul Islam said the vested quarters are plotting conspiracies to destroy
independence, sovereignty, democracy and spirit of the War of Liberation
through spreading rumours to create anarchy in the society.

Mamtaz Uddin urged leaders and workers of AL and its associate bodies to
speed up organisational activities for further strengthening hands of Prime
Minister Sheikh Hasina to foil all conspiracies for building a developed
Bangladesh by 2041.
