KHULNA, July 27, 2019 (BSS) – The 1st death anniversary of veteran Awami League (AL) leader S M Mostofa Rashidi Suja was observed here today with due respect.
Suja, ex-whip of Jatiya Sangsad and general secretary of district unit of AL died at Mount Elijabeth Hospital at Singapore on July 27, 2018.
Marking the day, AL and its associate bodies, family members and other socio-cultural organizations paid homage to Suja by placing wreaths at his grave at Tutpara graveyard in the city this morning.
A doa mahfil and memorial meeting was held at the party office in the afternoon with city AL president and KCC Mayor Talukder Abdul Khaleque in the chair.
Sammilito Sangskritik Zote, College Teachers Association also observed Suja’s death anniversary with various sprograms.
