RANGPUR, July 26, 2019 (BSS) – The ‘Mosquito Elimination and Cleanliness
Week-2019’ began here on Thursday afternoon aiming at eliminating mosquito
and maintain cleanliness to free Rangpur city from mosquito related diseases.
Panel Mayor-2 of Rangpur Mahmudur Rahman as the chief guest launched the
week-long campaign through cleaning weeds and spraying insecticides using
fogger machines at different areas of the city.
City Councilors, Chief Medical Officer of Rangpur City Corporation Dr.
Kamruzzaman Ibne Taz, its Chief of Conservancy Division Shahinur Rahman and
Health Inspector Abdul Kaiyum were present.
The week-long campaign will end on July 31 next to eliminate mosquito and
maintain cleanliness to effectively prevent breeding of mosquito for freeing
Rangpur city from mosquito-related diseases.
