DHAKA, July 25, 2019 (BSS) – Bangladesh Hindu Buddhist Christian Oikya
Parishad today said the allegation which Priya Saha placed before the US
president over the disappearance of 37 millions of minorities, was untrue.

The leaders of Oikya Parishad came up with the remarks at a press
conference at Jatiya Press Club (JPC) in the capital.

A three-member delegation of the Hindu Buddhist Christian Oikya Parishad
took part in the ‘Second Ministerial to Advanced Religious Freedom’
conference in Washington on July 7-8, said Oikya Parishad General Secretary
Rana Dasgupta while reading a written statement at the press conference.

“Priya Saha was not a member of the delegation,” he added.

She is the organising secretary of the organisation, but she did not go to
the United States or meet the US President with any organisational decisions
or responsibilities.

“Priya did everything by her own responsibility. The organisation has no
link to this regard,” he continued.

The leader of the organisation strongly condemned and protested Priya’s
remarks saying: “There is no link to the remarks with us. It is her sole
responsibility whatever she told to the US present over the migration of the
minorities from the country.”

On July 23, Bangladesh Hindu-Buddha-Christian-Oikya Parishad suspended
Priya Saha from her post.

Oikya Parishad presidium members Nim Chandra Bhowmik, Basudeb Dhar, Nirmal
Rosario, Kajal Debnath and Joint General Secretary Nirmal Chatterjee were
present at the press meet.
