CHATTOGRAM, July 25, 2019 (BSS)- Customs officials recovered 64 gold bars from an abandoned vehicle used for carrying passengers of Regent Airways at Shah Amanat International Airport in Chattogram this morning.
The gold bars recovered around 9am in a cloth bag.
On secret information, the Customs Intelligence and Investigation
Directorate and Airport Customs jointly conducted a drive and seized the gold
bars, Fazlur Rahman, customs officer of the airport said.
The recovered gold bars weighing 7.488 kg, worth around Tk 2.88 crore.
The official said a process is underway to take legal action in this
connection.
