DU online admission process begins August 5

DHAKA, July 24, 2019 (BSS) – The online application process for first year honours admission at Dhaka University (DU) for 2019-20 academic session, is set to begin on August 5.

The applications will be accepted till August 27 midnight.

The decision was taken at a meeting of the 1st year honours admission test committee presided over by vice- chancellor Professor Md Akhtaruzzaman at Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban on Wednesday, said a press release.

For the first time in the history, Dhaka University has announced to take written test, in the upcoming admission test.

The committee decided that in addition to 75-marks MCQ test, students will have to sit for a 45-marks written tests. The applicants will get 50 and 40 minutes, respectively for the MCQ and the written test.

According to the commitee meeting, the admission test for DU’s “Ka”unit will be held on September 20, “Kha”
unit on September 21, “Ga” unit on September 13, “Gha” unit on September 27, “Cha” unit (MCQ) on September 14, and “Cha” unit (drawing) on September 28.

DU Pro-Vice Chancellor (Administration) Prof Dr Muhammad Samad, Convener of Online Admission Committee Prof Dr Subrata Kumar Aditya, deans of different faculties, chairmen of different departments, directors of DU institutes, acting registrar, among others, were present at the meeting.
