Minority communities demand trial of Priya Saha

DHAKA, July 22, 2019 (BSS) – Leaders of religious welfare trusts of the Hindu, Buddhist and Christian communities today strongly condemned and protested against Priya Saha’s false complaints to US President Donald Trump about disappearance of minorities and demanded her trial.

“Priya Saha’s complaints about disappearance of 37 million members of Hindu, Buddhist and Christian communities are false, fabricated and purposeful,” Hindu Religious Welfare Trust Vice-Chairman Subrata Paul told a press conference.

The religious welfare trusts of the three communities jointly arranged the press conference at Jatiya Press Club here.

Buddhist Religious Welfare Trust vice-chairman Supta Voshon Barua, Christian Religious Welfare Trust’s trustee and secretary Nirmol Rozario, trustees of the religious trusts Advocate Ujjal Prashad Kanu, Poritosh Kanti Saha, Shyamal Bhattacharya, Doyal Kumar Barua, Dalim Kumar Barua and JM Subrata Hajra were present in the press conference.

Subrata Paul said making complaints to other countries on the country’s internal issues cannot be acceptable. “We are jointly protesting against Priya Saha’s remarks and demanding proper investigation on the issue to unmask her ulterior motive,” Paul said

He said Priya Saha’s remarks hurt the sentiments of all sensible people in the country.

Replying to a question, Nirmol Rozario said: “Hindu-Bouddha-Christian Oikya Parishad, welfare trusts or any other organizations never made such remarks in the past. Only Priya Saha can say from where she gets such accounts.”
