National Junior Wrestling meet begins tomorrow
DHAKA, July 22, 2019 (BSS) – The two-day RDDL 26th National Junior (Boys’ & Girls’) Wrestling Competition begins tomorrow (Tuesday) at the Shaheed Captain M Mansur Ali National Handball Stadium in the city.
A total of 200 boys’ and girls’ wrestlers from eight divisions across the country will participate in the meet in 16 weight categories.
The boys’ section weight categories are 41-45 kg, 48kg, 51kg, 55kg, 60kg, 65kg, 71kg, 71kg and 80kg while the girls’ section weight categories are 30-40kg, 43kg, 46kg, 49kg, 53kg, 57kg, 61kg and 65kg.
Ahead of the competition, the wrestling federation today has taken physical weight of the participants taking part in the competition.
Apart from trophy and medal, this time the federation has decided to give stipend to the participants of first, second and third place finishers of the competition.
