Doa mahfil seeking recovery of Dr Towfiq Nawaz held
DHAKA, July 22, 2019 (BSS) – A doa mahfil and Quran khawni seeking early
recovery of Dr Towfiq Nawaz, husband of Education Minister and Awami League
Joint General Secretary Dr Dipu Moni, was held here today.
The doa mahfil and Quran khani was held at Madinatul Ulm Hafezia Madrasa at
Gulistan.
Dr Towfiq Nawaz, renowned lawyer and a member of Transparency International
Bangladesh (TIB), was admitted to United Hospital in the city after he became
ill on Thursday night.
He is now undergoing treatment under Neuromedicine Specialist Professor Dr
Quazi Deen Mohammad at Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the hospital.
Quran hafez and orphanage children recited the Holy Quran and offered doa
for seeking early recovery of Dr Towfiq.
Vice-president of Jubo League Dhaka South Unit Muhammad Habibur Rahman
Palash and former leader of Bangladesh Students League Salah Uddin Sikder,
among others, attended the doa mahfil.
