RAB mobile court fines 10 food shops in capital
DHAKA, July 21, 2019 (BSS) – A mobile court of RAB has fined ten food
shops a total of Taka 26 lakh for selling and storage of adulterated food
items in the capital.
Led by RAB Executive Magistrate Md. Sarowar Alam, the court conducted
anti-adulteration drives in Ashkana Hajj camp and different food shops of
Dakkhinkhan here on Saturday.
Executive Magistrate Sarwar Alam told BSS that during the drive, 10
restaurants were fined for preserving and selling expired and adulterated
food items.
Besides, the court sealed-off ‘Bhai Bhai Restaurant’ of Ashkana Hajj Camp
and sent three of its employees to jail for six months on charges of selling
adulterated food items.
The court also realized the fined money from the owners of – New Bangla
Khabar Restaurant, Eso Kichu Khai Restaurant, Alif Kitchen and Party Centre,
New Parvin Restaurant, Three Star Hotel, Holiday Express, Makka Resaturant,
Bismillah Restaurant and Wonder Inn.
