Convicted fugitive surrenders before court
KHULNA, July 21, 2019 (BSS)- A convicted accused of a murder case has surrendered before the court here today.
A Khulna court on July 16 awarded death penalty to Shariful Islam for killing Exim Bank official Perveen Sultana and her father Elias Chowdhury.
Shariful Islam today surrendered before the court of Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal-3.
Shariful Islam, son of Sheikh Abdul Jalil of Labanchara thana was absconding since the murder.
The court in his absentia awarded him with death penalty with five other accused of the case.
Perveen Sultana and her father were killed in their Khulna house on September 18, 2015.
