Killing in mob-beating is criminal offence: Police
DHAKA, July 20, 2019 (BSS)- Terming the killing of anyone based on suspicion or rumour of child-lifting as a criminal offence, the Police Headquarters has urged people not to take the laws into their hands.
“Killing in mass-beating based on suspicion or rumour of child-lifting is a criminal offence . . . don’t take the laws into own hands,” it said in a statement here today.
The police headquarters issued the statement following the killing of three people by mass- beating in Dhaka and Narayanganj today suspecting them as child lifters.
