Air chief returns home

DHAKA, July 20, 2019 (BSS)-Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Masihuzzaman Serniabat returned home today concluding his official visit to the United Kingdom (UK).

During the visit, the chief of air staff attended the two-day long “The Chief of the Air Staff’s Air and Space Power Conference”, said an ISPR press release.

The theme of the conference was “Multi-Domain Operations for the Next Generation Air Force”.

The conference revealed emerging technologies and opportunities for innovation in the air, space, cyber and artificial intelligence spheres and provided an unrivalled opportunity to examine the potential – technologically, structurally and doctrinally for multi-domain operations to address the complex challenges posed by competitor states.

Senior ministers of the UK, international air and space power chiefs, business leaders and professionals from across the spectrum of air and space industry and innovation attended the conference.

It is expected that this conference would shape the concept that will ensure the enduring effectiveness of the next generation Air Force.

The chief of air staff of Bangladesh Air Force made courtesy calls on President of Marshal Aerospace and Defence Group Sir Michael Marshall and CEO Alistair McPhee and visited some of the Bangladesh Air Force’s C-130J aircraft recently purchased from the UK.

He also opened Marshal Aerospace and Defence Group Customer Service Centre.
