SYLHET, July 14, 2019 (BSS) – A Court here today awarded death penalty to a person for killing his elder brother in the Zakiganj Upazila under Sylhet district in 2017.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Aminul Islam passed the order in presence of convicted Jakir Hossain, son of Safiqul Haque of Kesri, Zakiganj.
According to the case statement, Jakir hacked to death his elder brother Kamal Hosain over a family discord on August 29, 2017.
The victim’s wife Jannatul Ferdous Rahena filed the case with Zakiganj thana accusing lone accused of the case Jakir Hossain.
