Saif SC to face Sheikh Jamal as BPL resume Monday
DHAKA, July 13, 2019 (BSS) – The Bangladesh Premier League Football will resume on Monday (July 15) as Saif Sporting Club will take on Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Limited in the lone 22nd round match scheduled to be held at Rafiq Uddin Bhuiyan Stadium in Mymensingh.
The match kicks off at 4 pm.
Saif Sporting Club currently are placed at fourth position with 38 points from 19 matches while Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club stands at sixth position with 24 points from 20 outings.
Table topper Bashudhara Kings continue to dominate the points table with maintaining their all win run record in the league. They are inching closer to the title following their convincing 3-0 drubbing over Arambagh Krira Sangha in the rain-hit match that played on Friday in Mymensingh.
With their 18th win in 19 matches, Bashundhara Kings raised their tally to 55 points, four points ahead of second-placed Abahani Limited, which played a match more than the Independence Cup winners.
Bashundhara Kings still need nine points from their five remaining matches to ensure their first-ever BPL title in their debut season. The task may be easier if the traditional sky blue Dhanmondi outfit drop points in any of their four remaining matches.
