Brothers Union, Muktijoddha post win in BPL

DHAKA, July 11, 2019 (BSS)- Brothers Union Club and Muktijoddha Sangsad Krira Chakra won their respective matches of the Bangladesh Premier League Football held at two separate venues across the country on Thursday.

In the day’s match, Brothers Union Club earned a 2-1 goal victory over NoFeL Sporting Club held at Bangabandhu National Stadium.

Rabby put Brothers Union Club ahead in the 19th minute while after the lemon break Jamir restored the parity for NoFeL in the 50th minute of the match.

Brothers Union’s foreign recruit Moga sealed the victory scoring the second goal for his team in the 80th minute.

With the day’s victory, the all orange Gopibagh ‘outfit’ took their collection to 16 points from 19 matches while NoFeL Sporting Club remained at their previous credit of 16 points playing the same number of matches.

In the day’s other match, Muktijoddha Sangsad Krira Chakra registered a hard-fought solitary goal victory over Team Bangladesh Jute Mills Corporation held at Shaheed Bhulu Stadium in Noakhali.

Muktijoddha’s foreign recruit Kato scored the match-winning goal for the freedom fighters in the 81st minute. With today’s win Muktijoddha Sangsad Krira Chakra improved their tally to 21 points from 19 matches while bottom-ranked BJMC remained at their previous collection of eight points from 20 outings.

At Rafiq Uddin Bhuiyan Stadium in Mymensingh, the match between table topper Bashundhara Kings and Arambagh Krira Sangha was abandoned due to heavy rain, eight minutes after the kick off the play.
