ENVOY-VISIT-GUAVA HAT
US envoy visits Jhalkathi
JHALKATHI, July 11, 2019 (BSS) – US Ambassador in Bangladesh Earl R. Miller today visited traditional floating guava market of the district.
He reached at the guava marketing center at Bhimrul village of Sadar Upazila in the morning.
Deputy Commissioner of Jhalkathi Md. Johar Ali and Police Super Fatiha Yasmin greeted the envoy with flowers.
The ambassador in a boat visited different sections of the guava market and talked to the farmers and traders and exchanged pleasantries.
Later the US envoy talked to the journalists when he highly praised the floating market. He didn’t forget to praise the amazing natural beauty of the area and hospitality of the people.
