Bangladesh beats Pakistan by 12 runs in IPCWC

DHAKA, July 11, 2019 (BSS) – Bangladesh Parliamentary Cricket team made a decent start in the Inter-Parliamentary Cricket World Cup (IPCWC), beating Pakistan by 12 runs at Burlington Gardens, Chiswick in London on Thursday.

Bangladesh piled up 135 in the stipulated 15 over after which they bowled Pakistan out for 123.

Captain Naimur Rahman Durjoy led the side from front taking 3-15.

MPs from eight cricket-playing nations – Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Australia, South Africa and hosts England -split into two groups is competing in the tournament.

Bangladesh will take on New Zealand and South Africa in their next two matches.

The tournament is the brainchild of Chris Heaton-Harris, the Conservative MP for Daventry, who has organised the tournament in conjunction with the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB).
