DHAKA, July 09, 2019 (BSS) – Dutch Queen Maxima arrived here today on a four-day visit to see different development activities and hold meetings with high officials mainly from Bangladesh financial sector.

Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen received the Netherlands Queen at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) when she reached here by an Emirates flight EK 586 at 5.20 pm.

The Queen Maxima will have a meeting with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at 7 pm on Wednesday at the national parliament.

The Queen has served as the UN Secretary-General’s Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development (UNSGSA) since 2009.

On Wednesday morning, she will visit the UN headquarters in Dhaka at IDB Bhaban in the city’s Agargaon area and hold meeting with representatives of development partners there.

After that, she will visit Zindari union parishad office of Palash in Narsingdi and a boutique shop at Tongi.

On Thursday, the Dutch Queen will attend a roundtable discussion with representatives of private sectors and have a meeting with Bangladesh bank governor and officials of finance and post and telecommunication ministries.

At the afternoon, she will go to Bangabhaban to meet with President M Abdul Hamid.

Queen Maxima is scheduled to leave Dhaka in the early morning of Friday.
