IU Shapla Forum gets new body
ISLAMIC UNIVERSITY, July 7, 2019 (BSS) – Professor M Rezuanul Islam of
Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering department and Professor M Mahbubar
Rahman of Electrical and Electronic Engineering department of Islamic
University (IU) in Kushtia have been elected as the president and secretary
respectively of Shapla Forum, a pro-Awami League’s teachers’ alliance of the
university on Sunday.
Shapla Forum chief election commissioner, Professor Abdul Muyeed, announced
the committee.
The other office bearers of the committee are – Professor Paresh Chandra
Barman as vice president, Professor M Maher Ali as joint-secretary, and
Professor SM Mostafa Kamal as treasurer.
The committee’s executive members are- Professor M Kamal Uddin, Professor M
Zakaria Rahman, Professor M Mahbubur Rahman, Professor Kazi Akhtar Hossain,
Prof Dr M Jahangir Hossain and Professor Anowar Hossain, Professor Reba
Mondol, Professor M Ibrahim Abdullah and Assistant Professor Prodip kumar
Adhikari.
The election of the forum was held at the university’s Mamotaz Building on
June 29.
