Govt working to improve living standard of rural people : Tajul
BOGURA, July 6, 2019 (BSS) – LGRD and Cooperatives Minister Tajul Islam today said the government is working for improving living standard of rural people through implementing different programmes across the country.
“We are implementing ICT-based public services to reach all civic services to the doorsteps of rural people,” he told a seminar titled “Research for development of our villages, our cities” at Rural Development Academy(RDA), Bogura.
State Minister for LGRD and Cooperatives Swapan Bhattacharjee, local lawmaker Md Habibur Rahman, Secretary of Rural Development and Cooperatives Division Md Kamal Uddin Talukdar and Managing Director of RDA, Bogura Md Aminul Islam, among others, addressed at the seminar.
Tajul said, “Agriculture is the lifeline of economic progress of Bangladesh…. So, we are taking various programmes for boosting agriculture production in the country.”
He said Bangladesh has achieved self-sufficiency in food production as the present government has implemented different effective programmes in the past ten years.
