HOBIGONJ, July 5, 2019 (BSS) – Three cancer patients and as many as 81 organizations of Hobigonj and Shayestagonj Upazila today received financial assistance of Taka 40 lakh from the government.
Cheques of the financial assistance were distributed at a function at Sadar Upazila Parishad auditorium here today.
The organizations include educational institutions, religious bodies, graveyards and crematory.
Parliament member of Habigonj-3 constituency Abu Zahir distributed the cheques among the recipients.
Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Sakhawat Hasan Rubel presided over the function.
The financial assistances were given from the constituency based TR and cash allocation fund of the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief for poor.
Every cancer patient received Taka 50,000 for their treatment.
