3 killed in Narayanganj road accident
NARAYANGANJ, July 5, 2019 (BSS) – Three of a family were killed and
eight others injured in a road accident in Sonargaon’s Kanchpur Bus Stand
area on the Dhaka-Sylhet highway here last night.
The deceased are identified as Shangeeta Rani Barman, her daughter
Borsha Barman and her mother-in-law Debi Barman hailed from Sonargaon-
Kanchpur’s Sonapur area.
The three people died on the spot as a Sylhet-bound bus ran over them,
said Kaiyum Ali Sardar, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kanchpur highway police
station.
Later, the bus collided head-on with a lorry as its driver lost control
over the steering, leavening eight others injured, he added.
The injured were sent to local and Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
A case was filed in this connection.
