KUSHTIA, July 4, 2019 (BSS) – A court here today awarded life imprisonment to three persons in a drug case.
District and session Judge of Kushtia Arup Kumar Goswami also fined them Taka one lakh each and suffer one year more rigorous imprisonment in default.
The convicted persons are- Thandu Mondol, son of Hamid Ali Mondol of Fakirabad under Islamic University thana, Md. Sagor, son of later Azizur Rahman of Khejurtola of same thana and Sohel Rana, son of later Nabin Pramanik of Malakar Para of Mirpur Upazila.
A team of RAB-12 seized one kilo heroin from a local bus and arrested its driver Sohel Rana, supervisor Thandu Mondol and helper Sagor on September 15, 2017.
Kushtia Model thana police submitted charge sheet of the case on 23 October, 2017.
