8 smokers fined Taka 2,050 in Rajshahi
RAJSHAHI, July 2, 2019 (BSS) – A mobile court here today fined eight people Taka 2,050 on charge of smoking in public places at Rajshahi Railway Station here today.
The mobile court led by Executive Magistrate Tasnim Jahan conducted a raid at the railway station and caught them red handed while smoking in the public place, police said.
During the mobile court, Magistrate Tasnim Jahan told the attending journalists that smoking in the public place is a criminal offense.
“Such raid will continue in future to keep the public places free from smocking,” she said.
