NETRAKONA, Jun 30, 2019 (BSS) – Netrakona Pourasava has announced Taka 138.88 crore budget for the 2019-2020 financial year which has been designed for improving the services of the citizens without increasing any holding tax.
Mayor of the Pourasava Mohammad Nazrul Islam Khan formally announced the budget at a press conference at the pourasava conference room here today.
Senior officials of the district administration, councilors of the pourasava and distinguished persons were present.
Mayor Nazrul Islam said total revenue income of the pourasabha in the coming fiscal year has been targeted Taka 13. 62 crore while Taka 121.13 crore will come from the government allocations.
No new holding tax has been imposed in the budget, the mayor said adding that the budget has been designed to build up the pourasava as a modern and developed one through improving the civic amenities.
Construction of different roads and drains, two super markets, Muktizoddha Memorial Monument, Children Park, construction of a modern auditorium and beautification of river banks are among the major development projects of the pourasabh in the next fiscal, the mayor said.
