Trump on possible Kim encounter: ‘I understand they want to meet’
SEOUL, June 30, 2019 (BSS/AFP) – US President Donald Trump said Sunday he “understands” North Korea wants a meeting with him, a day after he invited leader Kim Jong Un to “say hello” in the Demilitarized Zone that divides the peninsula.
“I understand they want to meet,” he told business leaders in Seoul ahead of his trip to the DMZ, adding details were still being worked out and South Korean President Moon Jae-in would accompany him. “Let’s see what happens,” he said.
