DHAKA, June 29, 2019 (BSS) – Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni today said one
type of unrest is prevailing in the society because of drugs, which is also
playing role behind serious crimes.
“There is unrest in the society because of drugs which is also responsible
for serious crimes in the country,” said Dipu Moni while speaking at a
programme organised by Inner Wheel District 328 at the city’s Dhaka Club.
The education minister said children are not growing up with qualities like
humanity, patriotism and morality. Attention is given to good grades,
mathematics, English or science subjects, she added.
“Our education system will be changed to imbue children with moral values,”
she said.
In the programme a new committee of Inner Wheel took charge for the session
2019-20. Naima Sakhawat took charge as the new chairman of District 328.
