CAAB new chairman takes office

DHAKA, June 28, 2019 (BSS) – The newly appointed Civil Aviation Authority, Bangladesh (CAAB) Chairman, Air Vice Marshal M Mofidur Rahman took charge of his new assignment on Thursday, a press release said here.

Rahman was commissioned in Bangladesh Air Force as a fighter pilot in 1985 and afterwards he served the force in various capacities with high reputation, it added.

He also served in the UN peace keeping mission in Congo for two terms in 2005 and 2012 as contingent commander.

He has succeeded M Naim Hassan, who has returned to the Air Force after being promoted to the rank of Air Marshal.
