Amena Khatun laid to eternal rest at Azimpur graveyard
DHAKA, June 27, 2019 (BSS) – Amena Khatun, wife of late Azizur Rahman, a
retired joint secretary of the government, was laid to eternal rest at the
city’s Azimpur graveyard after Zohr prayer today.
She breathed her last around 4:15 pm on Wednesday at the National Institute
of the Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD) Hospital at the age of 76.
Her namaz-e-janaza was held at Uttara No. 5 Jame Mosque after Esha prayers
and later her body was kept at BIRDEM Hospital mortuary Wednesday night.
Amena Khatun had been suffering from heart ailments. She left behind two
sons, one daughter and grandchildren as well as a host of relatives and
admirers to mourn her death.
Anisur Rahman, the chief news editor (CNE) of Bangladesh Sangsad Sangstha
(BSS), is the elder son of the deceased.
