KHULNA, June 26, 2019 (BSS) – Speakers in a discussion here today said works of Shahid Janani Jahanara Imam should be included in the textbooks.
They also said there is no alternative to inclusion of the history of 1952, 1969, 1971 and 1957 in the textbooks at primary and secondary level for presenting true history to the new generation.
They were speaking at a discussion on Jahanara Imam’s 25th death anniversary at BMA Bhaban here today.
Khulna Ghatak Dalal Nirmul Committee organized the discussion with Dr Sheikh Baharul Alam min the chair.
District Worker’s Party leader Mofidul Islam, cultural organizer Shahin Jaman Pan, former convener of Chhatra League Forum Jahangir Alam, SM Shohorab Hossain, Selim Bulbul and journalist Mohendranath Sen spoke on the occasion.
The speakers said Jahanara Imam founded Ghatak Dalal Nirmul Committee t eliminate the anti-liberation forces and her dream came true through hanginging up the top Rajakars.
They urged all progressive forces to work together to build a secular country with the ideals of the War of Independence.
