DHAKA, June 26, 2019 (BSS) – Amena Khatun, wife of late Azizur Rahman, a
retired joint secretary of the government, died at the National Institute of
the Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD) Hospital here this afternoon.
“Amena Khatun breathed her last around 4:15 pm at the NICVD Hospital at the
age of 76,” family sources said, adding she had been suffering from heart
ailments.
She left behind her two sons, one daughter and grandchildren as well as a
host of relatives and admirers to mourn her death.
Anisur Rahman, the chief news editor (CNE) of Bangladesh Sangsad Sangstha
(BSS), is the elder son of the deceased.
Her namaz-e-janaza will be held at Uttara No. 5 Jame Mosque after Esha
prayers today and later her body will be kept at BIRDEM Hospital mortuary
tonight.
She will be buried at Azimpur Graveyard in the capital tomorrow after
Zohr prayers.
