LALMONIRHAT, June 26, 2019 (BSS) – Two people were killed and seven others injured as a truck hit an auto rickshaw in Aditmari upazila of the district this morning.
The deceased were identified as Nandu Chandra Rao, 54, and Robiul Islam,
41. They were the residents of Kaliganj upazila.
Officer-in-Charge of Aditmari Thana Siful Islam said the accident occurred
around 6:45 am in Palashi Bazar area on Rangpur-Burimari Highway. Auto
rickshaw driver Robiul and passenger Nandu Chandra died on the spot.
Injured people were admitted to Rangpur Medical College Hospital and
Aditmari upazila Health Complex. Among the injured, four people are in
critical conditions.
