New DC for developing Rangpur in planned way
RANGPUR, June 26, 2019 (BSS) – Newly appointed Deputy Commissioner (DC)
Md. Asib Ahsan sought cooperation of all, including journalists, for
developing Rangpur in a planned way by accelerating the pace of development.
To attain the goal, he called upon journalists for publishing more
constructive, investigative and information-based new stories focusing
prevailing local problems, issues, prospects and possibilities in different
sectors of the district.
The DC said this while addressing a views-exchange meeting with local
journalists of the print, electronic and online media at his conference room
here on Tuesday afternoon.
Moderated by Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Syed Enamul Kabir,
Deputy Director (Local Government) Syed Farhad Hossain and large number of
journalists were present.
The participating journalists pointed out various local issues and
prospects and forwarded suggestions to resolve those and explore
possibilities.
The DC said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has placed Bangladesh in the
status of self-respect in the world arena through her improved thoughts,
conscience and relentless hard-endevours.
“I seek well co-coordinated initiatives and cooperation of everyone,
especially journalists, for implementation of the government’s massive
development programmes in the district,” he said.
