Arrest warrant issued against singer Mila
DHAKA, June 24, 2019 (BSS) – A Dhaka court has issued warrant to arrest
singer Mila Islam as she did not turn up to testify in the case she lodged
against her former husband Pervej Sanjari alias Lelin.
Judge Md Sharif Uddin of Dhaka Women and Children Repression Prevention
Tribunal-9 passed the order yesterday.
Mila filed the case against Sanjari under Women and Children Repression
Prevention Act in 2017 and the court in 2018 framed charges against him.
Sanjari however, refused all the allegations brought against him and
filed a case against Mila on May 20 for spreading propaganda on social media
and defaming him.
Parvez Sanjari lodged the case under Digital Security Act.
