Bangladesh keen to enhance trade ties with Georgia

DHAKA, June 23, 2019 (BSS) – Bangladesh is keen to enhance trade ties
with Georgia especially in pharmaceuticals, ready-made garments, and agro
products and ceramics sectors.

New Delhi based Georgian Ambassador to Bangladesh Archil Dzuliashvili
has shown the interest when he called on Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen
at the latter’s office here this morning, a press release said today.

During the meeting, the foreign minister expressed satisfaction over the
existing bilateral relations and stressed on further strengthening it by
expanding areas of cooperation between the two countries.

Momen briefed the envoy about the recent development of Rohingya issue
and sought Georgia’s support in this regard.

The ambassador agreed to initiate agro cooperation between Bangladesh
and the East European nation.

They also discussed on elections of the UN’s Food and Agriculture
Organization (FAO) and International Organisation for Migration (IMO).
