DHAKA, June 23, 2019 (BSS) – Prime Minister and Awami League President
Sheikh Hasina today expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Ashrafun
Aleya, elder sister of AL Advisory Council member Md Rashidul Alam and its
Joint General Secretary Mahbubul Alam Hanif.
In a condolence message, the prime minister prayed for eternal peace of the
departed soul and conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family.
In separate condolence message, AL General Secretary Obaidul Quader also
expressed profound shock at the death of Aleya.
Aleya passed away at 11.30am today while undergoing treatment at a city
hospital.
She was 78.
She is survived by two sons and three daughters.
