DHAKA, June 23, 2019 (BSS) – LGRD and Cooperatives Minister Md Tazul Islam
today said the Annual Performance Agreement (APA) will increase the speed and
accountability of the work of organisations concerned to bring proper result-
oriented activities.
“APA will boost up the speed and accountability of the workforce and the
potential beneficiaries will be benefited from the deal,” he said.
The minister came up with the remarks at the signing ceremony of ‘APA’
among 20 different departments and organisations under LGRD and Cooperatives
Ministry’s purview at the ministry conference room at secretariat here.
After signing the Annual Performance Agreement (APA), the agencies
concerned will consider the implementation of this agreement and try to
achieve the targeted goals with utmost sincerity, he said.
He said the signing APA is not just a formality, adding: “In order to
achieve Vision-2021, we must go ahead with the implementation of this
agreement properly.”
The Local Government Division (LGD) Secretary Helal Uddin Ahmed signed APA
with different department as well as organisations’ heads on behalf of LGD.
The 20 departments or organisations are: Local Government Engineering
Department (LGED), Department of Public Health Engineering, National
Institute of Local Government, Registrar General, Birth and Death
Registration, Dhaka South City Corporation, Dhaka North City Corporation,
Dhaka WASA, Chattogram WASA, Khulna WASA , Rajshahi WASA , Chattogram City
Corporation, Khulna City Corporation, Rajshahi City Corporation, Gazipur City
Corporation, Barishal City Corporation, Sylhet City Corporation, Narayanganj
City Corporation, Rangpur City Corporation, Cumilla City Corporation and
Mymensingh City Corporation.
