DHAKA, June 22, 2019 (BSS) – Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) mayor Atiqul Islam today urged the parents to be more conscious about the health of their children.
“The national Vitamin -A Plus campaign is a part of the various projects, which have been implemented by the government to ensure proper physical growth and mental development of the children”, Atiqul said while inaugurating the campaign at Mohammadpur Fertility Services and Training Centre (MFSTC) here this morning.
Atiqul administered vitamin- A capsule to some children aged between 5-59 months and asked their parents to become more conscious about their health.
“Vitamin- A is crucial to prevent childhood blindness, promote growth and building healthy eyesight as it increases immunity, he added.
