Three killed in Faridpur road accident
FARIDPUR, June 21, 2019 (BSS) – Three people of a family were killed and
six others injured in a road accident on the Dhaka-Khulna Highway in Komorpur
area under Sadar upazila of the district this noon.
The deceased were identified as Md Aslam Mollah, 60, his mother Mohirun
Nesa, 80, and Achia Khatun, 85. All of them were the residents of Dewli
village under Alfadanga upazila of the district.
Karimpur Highway Police said the accident occurred when a Faridpur-bound
microbus skidded off in the area and plunged into a roadside ditch as its
driver lost control over the steering around 12.30pm, leaving Aslam and
Mohirun dead on the spot and injuring others.
The injured were rushed to Faridpur Trauma Center but Achia succumbed to
her injuries on way to the hospital.
A case was filed in this connection.
