4 get life imprisonment for killing Madaripur college student
DHAKA, June 19, 2019 (BSS) – A speedy trial tribunal here today
sentenced four persons to life term imprisonment for killing a Madaripur
college student Ohiduzzaman in 2013.
Dhaka speedy trial tribunal-3 judge Monir Kamal passed the verdict this
morning, sentencing Lenin Bepari, Shabuddin Dorji, Rejaul Bepari and MM
Foysal Ahmed to life imprisonment.
The court also fined them Taka 20 thousand each, to suffer two months
imprisonment in default.
According to case documents, Rejaul used to like Ohiduzzaman’s wife and
plotted to kill him to get her.
On March 6, 2013, Rejaul and his men brought Ohiduzzaman to a maize
field in Singair, Manikganj, and strangled him to death.
