Five shops gutted in Ctg
CHATTOGRAM, June 18, 2019 (BSS)- At least five shops were gutted in a fire
at Fakirhat bazar of Mirsari upazila of the district this morning.
Tanvir Ahmed, officer of Mirsari Fire Service and Civil Defense in
Chattogram, said the fire originated from electric short circuit at a shop in
the area around 11.25 am and quickly engulfed the adjoining houses.
Two firefighting units from Mirsari upazila rushed to the spot and brought
the flame under control around 12.30 pm.
Victims claimed that the fire damaged property worth about Taka five lakh,
the sources added.
